The purpose of the scientific journal "Phytotherapy. Journal" is a coverage of achievements and prospects of domestic and world medicine, pharmacy, biology, in particular phytotherapy ways to implement scientific developments in this field in health practice, popularization of knowledge about medicines of plant mineral and animal origin, as well as folk and non-traditional (complementary/alternative methods of treatment, diagnosis).

This goal defines the main tasks:

- to promote the creation of an open information environment that provides interaction between leading professionals and young scientists;

- to intensify the development of the international community of specialists in the field of theory and practice of research of domestic and world medicine, pharmacy, biology;

- to promote the expansion of ties of the All-Ukrainian public organization "Association of traditional and alternative medicine Ukraine", Taurida V. I. Vernadsky National University, Dnieper Medical Institute of Traditional and Alternative Medicine with scientific and educational communities.
